Avnet Hosts First Virtual Power Forum
Phoenix, Ariz. — Avnet Electronics Marketing Americas (EMA) will launch its first Power Forum, focused on providing design engineers with practical, how-to training on power electronics design. This two-day virtual conference, hosted by Avnet subject matter experts and more than 15 of today’s leading power technology suppliers, will be held September 22-23, 2010 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. EDT. Registration is now open and is free to attend.
Attendees will have access to the virtual Training Center, which will host more than 30 online, on-demand presentations and videos focusing on power design techniques and solutions. Each presentation lasts between 15 minutes to an hour and can be immediately applied to real-world design challenges.
The second component of the forum is the Application Center, which provides engineers with a deeper dive into key products in four power application areas: renewable, portable devices, light-emitting diode (LED) lighting and industrial, communications and computing power. The Application Center contains a large selection of selector guides, datasheets, whitepapers, videos and other materials.
During the Power Forum, attendees will have the opportunity to interact with technical teams from each of the sponsoring suppliers. Avnet says design experts will be available to answer design specific questions and provide insight into new products in an open forum environment.
