Mouser offers Amphenol USB 3.0 SuperSpeed connectors
Mansfield, Tex. — Mouser Electronics, Inc. is the first to announce the availability of Amphenol’s USB (Universal Serial Bus) 3.0 SuperSpeed connectors. The USB 3.0 connectors are fully compliant with the USB 2.0 and 3.0 specification and offer a significant leap forward in transfer speeds — 5 Gbits/s signaling rate — and a 10x performance increase over Hi-Speed USB capabilities, while maintaining backwards compatibility with USB 2.0 devices, says the distributor.
Mouser’s stock of Amphenol’s USB 3.0 includes Type A, Type B, and Micro-B connectors that provide full metal shielding for EMI, RFI, and ESD protection. Amphenol’s USB 3.0 connectors are well-suited for improving the performance of external hard drives, high-res webcams, video surveillance, and Blu-ray drives.
Touch user interfaces have made significant advances in the consumer electronics market particularly for mobile phones and notebook computers, opening the door for adoption in other applications including white goods, computer peripherals, medical equipment, and instrumentation. Synaptics made its debut in the home appliance market earlier this year with the launch of the Samsung Hauzen ZERO air conditioner.

Both of them also target the military/aerospace industry. Here are the top 10 sales leaders by ICs, passives/electromechanical devices, interconnects and computer products as well as sales growth.
